Movie: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)

Tagline: He's the best there is! (Actually, he's the only one there is.)
Trivia: The real final score of Super Bowl XIX (1985) (TV) was San Francisco 38, Miami 16. The game footage of 'Ray Finkle' used in the film is actually a 1984 clip of Dolphins kicker Uwe von Schamann.
Goofs: Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The film mentions the 1985 Super Bowl as Super Bowl XVII (1983) (TV)." It was in fact Super Bowl XIX (1985) (TV). Super Bowl 17 was held on 30 January 1983. Confusion stems from the fact that Super Bowl III (1969) (TV) (Colts v. Jets) had the first use of the name "Super Bowl". The previous two Super Bowls were actually called The AFL-NFL World Championship Game.)
"To be a Pet Detective, you have to understand both the criminals and animals. Ace Ventura goes even further... He behaves like a criminal animal. When a football team's mascot (a dolphin) is stolen just before the Superbowl, Ace Ventura is put on the case. Now, who would want to steal a dolphin, and why? Written by Lars J.
